Caduceus Magazine have just published my review for ‘The Man Who Planted Trees’, by Jim Robbins about one man’s quest to restock the world’s forests with cuttings from the oldest and most succesful trees. The book, is a biography of David Milarch, a nusury man with a passion for ancient trees and his plan inspired by a near death experience to help save forests threatened by the effects of climate change. It’s full of interesting new ideas about trees and how they live and die. I found some things to question about Milarch’s plan but his passion is unquestionable and the book makes for a good read. You can read my review in Caduceus along with all the other great content by buying a copy! Unlike other publications Caduceus is sticking to the printed word. Find out more by visiting its website.

In all the excitement of the last few months I forgot to post that my book is now available as a Kindle download from Amazon. It was good to have the opportunity to do some updates and corrections that got past the proof reading when it went to print. Most of all it gave me space to tell a little of the events that followed the publication of my book. Just months after it’s release Sena my guide and friend in Cambodia narrowly escaped death when some disgruntled loggers tried to kill him on the streets of Phnom Penh. If you have a paper copy of my book I’m happy to give you the new chapter on request.
If you’re a Kindle reader, get from Amazon

My book “My Journey with a Remarkable Tree” will be given to all 360 guests at this years Green Awards. I’m excited as this will be the largest single ‘release’ of my work since it was published in 2005. In part this has been made possible by my publishers Eye Books who have helped create the opportunity to use the book to raise awareness of the plight of the world’s forests.
Thanks go to Green Awards for making it happen and of course good luck to all the candidates in this year’s awards.

Ollie and I have our very own radio show. We go out Monday’s 2pm till 3pm on Radio Reverb 97.2 FM with a repeat show on Saturday morning. We’re broadcast across Brighton City and to a wider audience across the Internet at www.radioreverb.com
Our show is Brighton centric featuring the Local & Fresh sounds of the city. We play live studio sets from up and coming artists as well as some of our old favourites from our Benefit Culture nights. We’re also having great fun digging in the attics and cupboards of our friends for rare and wonderful recordings and broadcasting our shows from their kitchens and front rooms… keeping it real and relaxed.
You can download the latest show here … tell your friends and listen in!

It’s been ages since I added new images to my Gallery so check out my latest pics.
Aptly titled ‘Lost’ a few of my prized images of lost toys went astray to but I’m hoping that somewhere in the depths of my hard drive they are there hiding …waiting to be found
